In our journey away from gobs of refined sugar, we've really enjoyed making iced beverages. This is Coconut Green Tea, Blackberry Iced Tea and London Fog Iced Tea.
Home-made lets us control the flavor and sweetness. The blackberry tea is a mixture of organic black leaves and the mulberries we canned into juice last June. So good! Chamomile & Lavender buds are wonderful over ice too.
We make three or four batches at once and it carries us through the week.
A slice of ginger added to the green tea when it steeps is super yummy!
And here's a follow up to the canned cranberry juice, more here. I wonder what it would taste like with iced tea? Happy Valentine's Day!

Iced Tea Recipe
You will need 8 cups of water divided for a liter size container
Add your sugar preference to the bottom of a liter container and pour in 4-6 cups of water, mix
Boil remaining water and steep tea to make a concentrate
Follow package instructions for tea amounts and steep times, or experiment with ratios (We typically steep 6 organic tea bags for 3 minutes, but loose or specialty teas may be more potent)
Add the tea concentrate to the container of sweetened water
Taste and adjust to your liking
Refrigerate and enjoy!

Cranberry juice in iced tea is absolutely wonderful, especially when you add a squeeze and wedge of orange, like they do at Red Lobster. They call it Boston tea. It’s so good.
